Before Landing

Approaching Rogers Dry Lake.

When altitude is under 17,000 feet, proceed as follows:

1. Vent, pressurize, and jettison control lever [11, fig. 5-4] – PRESSURIZE. This is to prevent sand and dust from entering the airplane propellant system during landing.

2. Check all controls and instruments for landing.
