Indicator, Caution and Warning Light Test Switch

An indicator, caution, and warning light test switch [38, fig. 5-1], powered by the primary DC bus, is on the instrument panel right wing. This switch has two positions, TEST and NORMAL.

When the switch is placed in the TEST position, all indicator, caution, and warning lights (except the fire-warning light [47, fig. 5-1] and the press-to-test lights) on the instrument panel and center pedestal come on; this is only a test of the bulbs. The switch must be at NORMAL for all normal operations.

Note: The press-to-test lights in the cockpit can be tested by pressing (left-clicking with the mouse) the light housing. Left-clicking with the mouse a second time will return the light to its normal operating state.
