Aborted Launch

Launch abort.

If for any reason the decision is made to abort the launch after the countdown has started, proceed as follows:

1. Engine prime switch [56, fig. 5-1] – STOP PRIME.

2. Igniter idle switch [53, fig. 5-1] – Check OFF.

3. Engine precool switch [61, fig. 5-1] – OFF.

4. Engine master switch [63, fig. 5-1] – OFF.

5. Vent, pressurize, and jettison control lever [11, fig. 5-4] – VENT.

6. External power switch [22, fig. 5-3] on the service panel – ON. Electrical power will be supplied from an external source.
   
   
7. No.1 and No. 2 generator switches [21, 26, fig. 5-1] – OFF. Check that both No. 1 and No. 2 generator-off (amber) lights [20, 25, fig. 5-1] come ON.
   
   
8. APU switches [17, 30, fig. 5-1] – OFF.
   
   
9. Ventral arming switch [35, fig. 5-1] – DE-ARM.
